Brassic Ends Its Run with Influenced by Tarantino Finale

The creators Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are concluding on their humorous show about a tight-knit bunch of endearing rogues running riot in a countryside town in Lancashire. One could anticipate the finale to be a nostalgic highlight reel of booze, drugs and cheeky thievery. However, the atmosphere turns much more somber as Vinnie (Gilgun) and the crew barricade themselves in a pub with gangster Davey MacDonagh for a climactic 50th episode seemingly influenced by Quentin Tarantino.

The Show Dragons' Den

8pm, BBC One
Dancers from the ballet world enter the den this week, as single mothers Laura and Stacey pitch their range of inclusive dancewear – and cause Peter Jones to become flustered. Next, an eye surgeon turned inventor has a smart device for lost tape ends.

All Creatures Great and Small

9pm, Channel 5
The veterinary adventures are generally good, but this superior period drama proves its worth with tender character work. An especially moving installment intertwines the tales of a lame shire horse and a missing young cow into a more serious storyline centring on Tristan, whose behaviour prompts a brotherly confrontation.

The Hack

9pm, ITV1
It’s been a long road. But the penultimate episode of this initially sluggish but ultimately compelling phone-hacking drama sees David Tennant’s Nick uncovering information about the actions of the News of the World that the rest of the media simply are forced to acknowledge. Things are also looking up for the character Dave, who has a unexpected new supporter.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK

9pm, BBC Three
Jazz hands at the ready: it’s time to present Peter Pansy – The Musical! That means the pressure is on for the queens to perform vocally, dance, and act and ultimately slay as they get ready for the show. And who better to guest judge than West End stage legend Mazz Murray, alongside Graham Norton, Michelle Visage and RuPaul.

The Iris Affair

9pm on Sky Atlantic
Anyone afraid of insects will want to skip ahead as episode six begins, before something of a Mexican (or rather Sardinian) standoff ensues, when Cameron forces Iris to swap her diary for the captured Joy – else she’ll be “shot repeatedly” from Meski’s menacing drone … What escape plan can they devise?
