A Significant Comeback for the Franchise
Lawrence and Hutcherson will once again portray Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the roles they originated. It is believed their cameos will probably be featured in a future-set scene, given that the main film series concluded with their characters married and with children.

The film welcomes several notable actors in key parts:
- Jesse Plemons is playing Plutarch Heavensbee.
- Ralph Fiennes will appear as a younger version of the calculating President Snow.
