Mohamed Salah Issues Statement to Liverpool Dressing Room, Says Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has revealed that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the group of players in the wake of the fallout from his recent interview.
The Incident
Salah was left out from a vital match subsequent to making accusations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I'm sorry.’”
The manager has previously declined to disclose on whether he was apologised to from the 33-year-old forward.

He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” Jones added.
Jones also implied that a teammate fighting for a place is less of an issue. “I get that there are certain ways you can express yourself,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
Team Form
Liverpool's form have been impressive in the matches since the initial controversy. The player is convinced the forward's comments were not intended to destabilise the squad.
“In moments of frustration, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, performing and securing victories.”
