The Opening Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities have started writing regarding Sony's platform for the first time. Last year proved to be an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that the green gaming company remains determined to engage players with quality releases on its key platform.

The Available Now Titles

The duo of games you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.

Major Titles on the Horizon

On Jan. 13, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that refreshes the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "a superb mixture of horror and action."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

However, the more modest titles arriving shortly on the service are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and you should try it whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the makers of Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Well-Rounded Collection

All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent tentpole Microsoft studios games that validate the subscription in the first place. However, this batch of games are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — which makes them ideal prospects to find a new audience on Game Pass.

Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
